The Angleton Rotary Club hosted its first social event at The Local Kitchen, Bar, and Bakery on July 29, 2024. This gathering marked a significant milestone for the club, drawing a vibrant representation of Rotarians from various districts.
Rotarians, known for their dedication to community service, gathered not just for camaraderie but also to support a noble cause—eradicating polio. Through the engaging “Passing the Torch for Polio” fundraiser, the club successfully raised $655. This effort underscores the unwavering commitment of Rotarians to positively impacting global health.

Notable attendees included District Governor Nancy Anderson, Past District Governor Mindi Synder, and Past District Governor Chris Schneider. Their presence added to the event’s prestige and highlighted the strong network and leadership within the Rotary community.

Guests from neighboring clubs, such as the Alvin Sunrise Rotary Club, Alvin Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Sweeny, Lake Jackson After 5 Rotary Club, and Brazosport Rotary, joined the festivities. Their participation emphasized the collaborative spirit and unity that Rotary stands for.
The evening was filled with laughter, engaging conversations, and a shared sense of purpose. As attendees enjoyed the warm ambiance and delightful offerings of The Local Kitchen, Bar, and Bakery, they also forged stronger bonds. They reaffirmed their commitment to Rotary’s mission.

The Angleton Rotary Club eagerly anticipates the next social event in September, looking forward to more fellowship and community service opportunities. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who joined and contributed to the success of this memorable evening. Together, we continue to make a difference.
